Well, it's not at the level of Robert Chevillon's LSG, but this is a very nice bottle just the same. It started out a little plain and unremarkable but it continued to build in richness as it sat in the glass, to the point where it became striking for the dense succulence of the fruit. But it was difficult to get a read on what else was going on and it didn't exactly show the quality of tannin that LSG is often (perhaps uniquely in Nuits) capable of.

Really good. Starts out a little shrill and stemmy at first but it comes together with air, building a wonderful scent combining cherries, fresh herbs, earth and some green herbal elements; very polished and pure in the mouth conveying that sense of clarity and freshness I'm really loving in the '08 Burgs right now.

Weygandt Tasting NYC (Astor): A fave again. Showed a bit less on nose than the Bousselots, but similar body profile. Darker Nuits fruit, grapey tang, some wood, snappy finish. Mmm.
