Nose: Clean and pretty, if a bit demure. Rather floral, with fresh white flower aromas and a honeyed sweetness. Light on fruit, but a whiff of tart lemon emerges with a bit of air.
Mouthfeel: Medium bodied but tongue coating.
Palate: Disappointingly mute. There's some baked apple fruit and sweetness, but that's about it. It doesn't come off as way overly sweet, but it also doesn't have the kick of acidity that would provide the tension between sweet and tart that a spatlese should have.
Quite disappointing to me for such a fine vineyard.

This wine is a crowd pleaser as on the most basic level, it just tastes good and is a easy way to please non-wine drinkers. It also exhibits considerable complexity with layers of fruit wrapped around stone notes. Honey dominates. The acidity keeps pace with the sweetness, keeping everything in balance.

Typical Mosel Riesling. Slightly sweet. Minerally, with apple. Very Good

Very nice wine. Long finish, minerals, tasty. Has some richness but not over the top.
