Decanted, opened for 3 hours. Still dark red, with some slight bricking. Lovely nose of classic cabernet. Smooth, strong plum/red fruit on the palate, a touch of earthiness and smoke, and nice long finish. Wasn't a wow wine and might be slightly past peak, but very enjoyable and I would be happy to drink again and again.

Drank from magnum - day 1 (after breathing in the bottle for 6 hours) tight a bit uneven, tannin felt very rough -- you could sense all the components were there but this wine just wasn't coming together. Day 2 - magically transformed, fantastic sweet dark fruit , smooth tannins, some piney elements - a great time, wish I had saved more than 1/2 the mag for Day 2.

Absolutely delicious on November 4 at Wine & Food Society NY California BYOB at David Burke's. The showing of this magnum was superb and rivaled name and cult California wines at the event- Harlan, Schrader, Dalla Valle, SineQua, Abreu, Bryant Family. The fruit concentration is spot on, reaching nigh on perfect balance and mouth feel. Hooray for the glycerine texturing the wine all the way to luscious. The extraction of this wine won the delicate balance, blending the cassis and blackberry fruit beautifully, revealing oak, subtle licorice, and yummy toast. Steve Pride you should be proud of the glorious treat.

Perfect cork and fill. Dark red to rim, dark ripe fruits, herbs, tar on nose, full body, lush layered ripe fruit, hints of oak, nice balance, mellow tannins, medium finish, no real complexity but still excellent.
