Opened for "Christmas Eve Eve" and enjoyed with my wine family while making dinner. I had an etched magnum that I'd purchased years ago and was looking forward to just the right time. The holidays this year were so welcome and this was the best bottle over the two weeks off.
C'mon, a 2007 Howell Mountain Cab--what's not to love? This is some of Ed's best work and reminds me of why I fell in love with the old Beringer Private Reserves so long ago. Drink now or wait another few years but it's showing incredibly at the moment. It's just dusty enough with layers and layers of finish. Keep in mind, this was a magnum so a 750 might be declining already.

Was very nice... perhaps best of the 5-bottle lineup

Disappointing. Decanted for an hour. Ripe, shallow profile with little tannin left. Short in the finish.
