- Ruby color with medium forming legs and aromas of blackberry. It's balanced and has flavours of black currant and black pepper with a medium/full body. Smooth texture with a long finish - Very nice Syrah. Forgot how good it was. Great ruby color, classic Syrah flavors. Beautiful lingering finish.

Enjoyed at restaurant in Traverse City, MI with dinner of roasted rack of lamb for my husband, and wet aged duck breast for me. Both were quite delicious, and the wine paired well. Popped and poured. Deep magenta color with medium legs. Aromas of dark berries, plum, smokiness, and spice. On the palatte the baked plum pie with cracked pepper, and hint of tobacco - it is quite complex, and pleasant. Finishes medium-long with great balance between tannins, acidity and fruit. At half off the restaurant list price (Monday night special), would gladly have another bottle again.

Big barnyard funk on the first whiff and remained on the nose for about 30-min after decanting, probably French-style yeast? But don't let this scare you away. After opening up, the wine exhibits blueberry pie, oak, and very good balance nose-to-tail. Paired with pork tenderloin and hit the spot. Most Syrah's taste "hot" to me, but this one stayed subdued throughout at 14.9% ABV. Has great aging potential but definitely enjoyable now. Versatile food wine but also good on it's own. Versatile overall.

A nice Big Syrah with lots of Black Pepper on the nose and Black Berry on the palate.

Very unbalanced wine, highly acidic. Tasted better the second day but still below average.
