Reminds me of why I love PS so much - especially from Biale. Dense, deep and inky in the glass. Smooth tannins, fruit is a bit shy at first, but opens up to a dark fruit with a waft of blueberry on the nose. Expansive and long on the palate and finish. Glad I still have two more bottles. No hurry - I think it has at least another decade left in it.

On first impression, not nearly as inky dark as some other petite sirahs. The flavor profile was also a bit less intense. Still very enjoyable, but noticed more red fruits initially than deep black fruits. Developed nicely over the next hour. Full bodied, long finish. K liked a lot.

Strain and splash decant ... Big, upfront splash of red and black fruit, mellows into a hit of vanilla cream. Rich, plush and lush ... Like red velvet cupcakes in a glass. Some tannic backbone keeps it from being overly flabby, but this is very fruit forward. Extremely smooth and very tasty, but lacks some of the complexity and depth I hope for in a Petite Sirah. Lovely wine, but not a very good QPR.
