  Enjoyable. Lush, racy, bright cassis and plum held together with traces of vanilla, leather. Good structure. I'd live here.

  Medium ruby red. Cherry, loam, tar, basil. Medium-full palate. Very nice balance, good backbone. Restrained, very good with food.

  Last of a case. Certainly on the lighter side; several guessed it was a Pinot Noir. Straightforward without a lot of complexity. Very much a new world version of this varietal.

  Saturated red. Sour cherries, graphite and licorice on the nose. Silky on the palate with nicely integrated acidity. Varietally typical red fruit with some very nice earthy notes. The nose led me to expect a "hotter" alcoholic wine on the palate which did not arrive. Overall, I did not love this wine but that is coming from someone who is not a Sangiovese nut (I certainly enjoy a good one but it is not something that I search out to cellar).
