With screw cap. Brilliant light straw color with hints of green. Classic Riesling nose of green apples, lemon, some lime, and lots of petroleum/chalk. A hint of vanilla adds to the complexity. Medium to full bodied, with a searing and intense acidity up front. The mid palate is dominated by green apples and little else, the finish is almost tannic, and the petroleum tones emerges on the long and intense finish. This hasn't aged at all, although it has almost reached ten years. Screw caps are fine, but they keep wine dead still for how many years? I had expected somewhat more from this wine.

Bottle with screwcork. Straw yellow, still with some "bubbles" from remaining CO2. Intense nose of green apples, citrus, and a hint of slate/petroleum. Medium to full bodied, dominated by primary citrus tones in the mouth, combined with a slight "pricking" of CO2. Long and concentrated aftertaste dominated by green apples, almost like setting your teeth into a green apple. Lively finish with a slight bitterness. Still an infant, and a bit monotone at the moment. May deserve a better score in the future. Need to age some years, but how will that proceed given the screwcork? My experience with screwcorks are that the wines almost stand still, and even after a decade taste like when they were young. Any experience with this out there?

Ripe yellow fruits, minerals and some petroleum on the nose. In the mouth, ripe and rich, and a little "spritzig". Good concentration and length.

Classic petrol notes on the nose with great acidity holding up the pear driven palate with a strong mineral dose as well, excellent bottle.

This does not bring me pleasure. I miss balance, depth and complexity.
