Large scaled wine. Double decanted then drank after about four hours in the open bottle. Very elegant and expressive. A bit of French oak and cedar flavors. Big grippy tannins. Massive cherry and plummy fruit, but not at all dense or over extracted with a lively acid structure. Great balance. Evolving in the glass and smoothing out a bit with the fruit coming to fore. This has a long life ahead. The best Brunello I've ever tasted.

Ridiculously smooth and velvety mouthfeel with tannic structure but only to support the wine and not overpower it. Beautiful cherry and red fruit with just a touch of Italian dirt on the nose. Light maroon-ish brick colored in the glass with a translucent edge. What an amazing wine and totally deserving of very point from Robert Parker. My only complaint is not being able to buy more when this was released. 99 points if you drink it now but you'll be rewarded with a full 100 if you wait a few more years.

Beautiful Brunello from a very small producer - Parker gave it 100/100: I had to taste it. Clear, medium garnet. Nose is mellow with a refreshing sharpness - some black cherry, menthol, and violet at first - then leather, tobacco, cocoa, perfume. Palate: vibrant acidity - a blend of lemon zest and forest fruits, perfectly integrated tannins. A beauty!
