  First tasting note on this wine since 2012? Perhaps slightly interesting that my view is not that different from what was written eight or nine years ago. Nicely structured wine, beautiful brick red Nebbiolo color in the glass with a nose that was really shy at first. Eventually you get some nice tobacco, roasted meat and perhaps a bit of cinnamon on the nose with tannins that are medium to soft. Finish is good, I'd say bumped it up to a 90 on my scoring. Definitely toward the end of the window, wine will not necessarily get better from here so drink up. I suspect their single vineyard offerings might have a bit more durability.

  Fruit forward. Drank while camping and it was a bit too cold to enjoy properly. Second tasting revealed lingering smoke which was delicious, but might have been from the campfire the night before.

  Still young and closed. Not much on the nose after opening, but opening somewhat after 2-3 hours. Lighter and less dense than the 2005, but still quite tannic. Will wait with the other bottle I have for at least another year.

  immediate great floral aroma; tannin and acid even after several hours; then opens to a clean balanced and ethereal black cherry; this has great potential and is already nice with food
