Deep gold; raisins, lychees, peaches, lanolin, floral; raisiny, peachy, silky, light-medium body, good acidity; good balance, lingering finish Botrysized fruit with slightly bitter tang. Decadent, tasty and easy-drinking.

This is the second wine from Chateau Sigalas-Rabaud, a Premier Cru Classe producer from Sauternes. This is a blend of 83% Semillon and 17% Sauvingon Blanc sourced from the same vineyards as the first wine and aged for 12 months in oak. Its a fresher style made for quicker drinking, so lets see if 12ish wines is a good point!
Color: Pure straw gold Nose: Medium intensity with notes of honeydew, melon, dried green apples, old book paper, fresh white flowers, heather and sweet pineapple Palate: Medium plus intensity, viscious and rich with sweet melons, juicy apple flesh, honeydew, fresh and dried white lilacs and yellow raisins Finish: Medium plus acid, medium length finish carries the fruit and florality
A pretty refreshing and potent Sauternes that does as advertised, but not one that really challenges. Definitely is good now and should last another 3-5 years.

Another Sauternes in my journey to try a few different producers. I am continuing to enjoy this varietal of dessert wine.
Served at around 10 degrees, this had a medium gold color. Aromas of apricot, caramel and vanilla. Notes of dried peach, caramel, honey, vanilla and interesting floral notes. Lingering finish of ginger, wax and honey.
Med+ bodied, refreshing acidity and well balanced sweetness. This had an oily mouthfeel and was very nicely balanced with its attributes. Another solid Sauternes.
