Nice ruby colour and nose, but lacked fruit and balance - tannins and back-end tool strong. I also agree that it is a little thin - needs to add some flesh.Decanted for two hours and had with a lamb leg. Nice enough but expected a little more complexity and depth of flavour. Perhaps it needed more time to open up, perhaps it needs more bottle age, or perhaps it is not that good of a wine. If I had more I would give it 2-3 years more time in the bottle.

Musty nose of wet grass, and dark fruit. A very subtle but balanced expression with notes of fruit, spices and wood. Reasonable finish. I thought the mouthfeel was a little thin.

I know very little about this rather obscure Cru Bourgeois. The blend is 60% Cabernet Sauvignon, 39% Merlot, and 1% Petit Verdot. The nose is not prominent, but is typical of Bordeaux; the color is dark, and it is medium-bodied - not light at all, as some other reviews have described this wine. I was surprised by the grip and depth of flavor; this wine reveals a lot of dark fruit, a high degree of acidity, and gritty tannins that are not yet fully resolved. The finish is particularly nice, with pronounced blackberry flavors. I think this will improve with another two years of bottle age, but it's quite drinkable now, if you give it about three hours of air to open up. This cost around $18, and tastes like a much more expensive wne. Like many petite chateaux of the 2005 vintage, this wine represents excellent value.

Leiden tasting Leiderdorp: Ruby red color, red fruit and vanilla nose, cherry taste, still lots of rounded tannins. Good balance, reasonable complexity, good length. Needs still some years in bottle.

Solid value priced '05 Bordeaux, fully agree w/ Daver852's review. I decanted for 3 hours and it was very smooth w/ excellent depth.
