Bob’s cellar. Golden brown, crystal clear. Sweet brown sugar, warmth of honey, apricot, brisk and supportive lemon/lime oil acidity. Unctuous honey spooled with lime and lemon oils, sweet apricots and splash of jasmine. Wow! Lovely. Not sweet, poised and not acidic either- all tremendously balanced. Very very good sweet French dessert wine.

Bordeaux 2014, 10-years on tasted blind: At the end of an extensive 2014 Bordeaux tasting, this was a welcome closure. Great nose here with apricot, smoke, orange rind. True to the Climens style, remains elegant within the liquoreux category.

Another beautifully lush yet precise and zippy bottle of 88 Climens, lemon custard and white flowers galore with a little green, limey element. Fabulous.

A solid sauternes that has aged well through the years. Dried orange peel, sultanas, candied lemons and a soft, gentle finish.
The acidity has softened gracefully through the years, and provided a great dessert experience. A beautiful wine that perhaps got treated a bit unfairly as it was served by a 88 Yquem.

Sauternes Chinese Banquet Dinner: Healthy light golden color. Little botrytis evident. More off dry than sweet. Lighter weight, apple and orchard fruit profile, outstanding acidity, and great length. Probably my favorite wine of the evening for its freshness, purity, and relative delicacy. I've had similar impressions each time I've had this. Wonderful!
