  • Buttercup coloured; fragrant, honeysuckle, honey lozenge, nuanced; initially pinpoint this unfolds & coats the palate, waxy, lozenged, good attack; pronounced spicy finish. Has depth to age further 5 years.

  • Popped and (slightly later) poured. Nose of perfumed tropical fruit w/some nuttiness; palate continues the tropical theme plus a mineral thread, maybe a bit of pomegranate seed. The body is lush and unctuous, not really oily but richly textured and dancing on the tongue; almost creamy in a way, but not cloying with sweetness. Moderate acidity - I would not call this crisp - but enough to hold up against the fruit and moderate alcohol. The finish is medium long and clean. My first experience with a Northern Rhone white outside of Condrieu, and I must admit to being impressed. Another bottle in the cellar...I'll probably hold it for another 18-24 months minimum before busting it out.

  • Nez sur les fruits jaunes, avec un peu de miel mais qui reste très frais. Bouche ample assez grasse avec une très belle amertume finale (amande amère). Finale un peu chaude à la montée en température. Un bon vin qui gagnera probablement à être attendu.

  • TnT for dinner (Sonoma): Well this was a "wow" wine! Rich and multi-layered nose of tropical fruit, which was matched on the palate, yet with a laser-like precision and mineral backbone which made this wine remarkable. Finishes long, crisp and clean. Lovely.
