Green bell pepper, some black olive, but mostly just earthy, green and unwelcome flavors. I have yet to have a 2011 from Congruence that I have liked, but I have enjoyed every other vintage. Maybe it’s me, but the flavor profiles have been similar in each wine I have had from 2011.

-- popped and poured -- -- tasted non-blind over 1.0 - 1.5 hrs. --
NOSE: very oaky; little bit of bell pepper; purple-fruited.
BODY: dark purple color of great depth; medium-full to full bodied.
TASTE: dark-fruited; some noticeable bell pepper; oaky; inky. This was oakier than I prefer -- it very well may have benefited from more air time. Drink Now with a decant, or continue to Hold.

Continue to be impressed with this wine. It has tangy and fresh flavors and is drinking so well right now. I have one bottle left and wish it was much more.

WHat a nice bottle! C: Deep and seemingly hasn't aged at all. N: Concentrated dark fruit, earth, some oak and an alluring dried herb. P: More of the nose, but more complexity came out with a decant, which did't last over an hour because the wine was too delicious to keep around any longer. Medium bodied. F: medium with more dark fruit and dried herb complexity. I could see this getting more complex with time and I really wish I had more. I'll also add that Steve's wines are all fantastic and the fairest pricing in CA. 91-92
