Big score to balance out the s**t score otherwise. Sometimes I think people just don't understand Nebbiolo, Langhe Nebbiolo and or Barolo / Barbaresco. Tannins are well integrated and fruit has nothing to due with cutting them. And this doesn't need time... It is exactly where it needs to be right now. Overall, this is a BALANCED wine. Everything is in perfect harmony here. Fruit forward, but not to the point of being "modern" or slutty. Made in a Barbaresco style, in that it is not a lighter, softer Langhe Nebbiolo, but has a detectable presence of tannin and drinks like a grownup wine. A damn fine... easy going, jocular and crushable Langhe Neb.

  • Opaque ruby
    Intense nose cherry perfumed nice.
High tannins medium acid medium plus body. Some cherry cuts through the tannins. Needs time.
    Mouth puckering long finish

  • Big bold fruit on the nose and lots of dark cherry fruit throughout. And then incredibly tannic and chewy on the palate. Yep, that is a Moccagatta wine.
