60 minutes in the decanter, and then it’s just Evangelho. That sappy, cherry tar core is out in force. It’s an impossible balance of neutron star concentration with Aurora Borealis acidity. There is just something about Evangelho. It’s a living being, and it inhabits the wines made from its fruit. This is drinking great now, but there’s no hint of maturity, just a precocious adolescence. Enjoy tonight, or wait until you have a reservation at The Restaurant at the End of the Universe.

It took immense willpower to taste this over two nights. It would have been so easy to blow through it on night one. With that said, it was markedly better on night two. The first night it was more coiled, but still showed great depth. Tonight it was all the things I expected, savory, sappy, earthy, and not actually all that fruity until a cherry-tinged finish that had me going back again for the next sip. That savory richness aligned the sappiness screamed Evangelho to me. It’s why I love the vineyard, and this bottling from Dirty & Rowdy.

Violet, rose petals, raspberry, spice and dust notes. Medium bodied with assertive - but not overpowering - tannins. Very long, lingering finish. A very profound wine that has a lot of life left in it.

Damn good, notes below are spot on, and this is hallmark Dirty & Rowdy - and at 3+ years it's picking up some really great earthy depth that is more pronounced than younger bottles I've had. Will drink this one over a few nights and watch the development.
