I concur that this is a ho-hum wine on its own. Decent fruit, but flat on the acidity, no real backbone. I opened it after opening a 2001 "Casa Bassa" by the same producer, which was very acidic. Then I mixed them and wow! the balance of this acid-less grenache and the tart syrah-based Casa Bassa was synergistic. Together they were a good 5 points better.

well made, but boring on day 1...however, on day 3 (vacuvin) this really came alive, and showed lots of nice fruit and structure.
