  • Opened this bottle to celebrate our anniversary.

Double decanted for an hour before bringing to the restaurant, where it was decanted over the next two hours.

Initially, strong nose but a little flat on the pallette. Over the next three hours, fruit aromas started to come towards the front. The nose become even more appealing. Not overly oaky at all.

Its hard to describe the taste, other than absolutely incredible. Tasting it, I just wanted to keep having more. Started picking up more subtle flavors throughout the course of the evening, but I was just enjoying the wine too much to really take detailed notes.

Pricey, but I think worth it for such a memorable wine on a special occasion.

This may be the best bottle of wine I've ever had.

    97 points.

  • Decanted wine for an hour. The wine is in a very good place! Balanced tannins with beautiful dark fruit showing through. Continued to evolve as dinner was enjoyed. The wine is not showing any degradation so would tend to think if you have any in your cellar that you have some time to enjoy

  • Pnp the bottle and it was ready to go from the start. No need to decant. The wine is soft and balanced from start to finish. There has been a lot of talk about oak, but I did not find any. I did sense some slight cedar. The bottle is an excellent example of Hundred Acre elegance. Many California cabs are rustic compared to Hundred Acre. This one just glides on the palate with a full glycerin mouth feel.

  • Decanted for an hour. The wine is well balanced but oak does come through , but does not distract from the nice dark fruit that shines through. I would say drink in the next couple of years.
