  • Aged well. Garnet in color. Earthy aromas as well as red fruit. Tasted better after about an hour. Initially almost a little too acidic, then became well balanced with great mild tannins and flavors.

  • Prior bottle was to the day 14 months ago and this wine continues to show extremely well. Mostly black cherry on the nose with red cherry hints behind along with leather, tar and spices. Medium bodied with black cherry upfront, blending in some red cherry notes that allow the wine to come off as rounded and beautifully integrated. Mid body retains excellent depth, especially towards the backside. There's black raspberry and plum notes and then tart cherry (mix of red and black). Minerals notes, leather, tar and spices on the finish. There's still enough tannin here to provide very good structure and some dryness for contrast with the fruit. Over the course of four hours, got better and better. Based on how well the fruit showed as well as where the structure is today, this wine should be able to continue to hold this level for at least another 18-24 months. This is peak, but give it at least two hours open to show it's best. This was my final bottle (for now), but given how well it showed, I would buy more if it becomes a possibility.

  • Wonderful and satisfying but probably not a wine for the masses. Very savory with loads of sandalwood, leather, herbs, and after some time, essence of cherry.

  • Open bottle 3 hours prior, didnt decant but probably will do next bottle as a lot of fine sediment, strong leathery nose good fruit and depth of flavour if it wasnt for sediment i would say good for another 5 yrs
