Drinking about as good as it will get. Slightly over ripe with a medium finish. Way better than a stewy bottle I have from a different source 6 months ago.

Medium ruby colour, some signs of aging but colour doesn't look too aged. Elegant and sweet aroma, not as masculine as other Gevrey grand crus. Good intensity with hints of mineral over fruits. Not as warm nor dark as some of the 1990 could be. Take some time to open as we drank over 3 hours. Finish shorter than the last bottle though. Good but not great. Not as impressive as my memory suggests. Could be still closed? 16/20

At a large dinner party tasted 4 1990 Grand Cru Burgandy's: Clos de La Roche Ponsolt, and 3 Louis Jadot's Chambertin, Rucholtes Chambertin, and Romanee Saint Vivant. They were all outstanding with nice fruit and a little spice - very complex, well balanced acid and tannin with a long finish. I gave 94's to the two Chambertin's and 95's to the other two.

(Louis Jadot Ruchottes-Chambertin) Slightly bricking medium dark cherry red color; tart red fruit, roses, a little musty on the nose; mature, tart cherry, tart raspberry, mineral, rosehips palate, still needs another couple years; long finish 92+ points

Ripe but not roasted, black cherries and plums, some coffee and smoke. Holds up well for several hours, with some sandalwood with time. A-/B+

Beautiful ruby. Very clean nose. Great fruit and quite a mouthful. Nice long finish. A perfect bottle been in cold cellar since release.
