  New territory for me and was a tasting pairing. Looking up some stats, Montepulciano grape and ~4,000 bottle production.
  
  Packed and lifted dark cherry cream soda nose that was pleasant. Ripe for sure and I thought it would come across overpowering on the palate, but it managed quite well. The tannin and grip comes on the front of the tongue with an impactful but just short enough finish. It is decadent without being too much. Not sure if I could down more than a glass or two but I enjoyed it. No idea how this will age, part of the appeal was the ripe, plump, and clean characteristics of drinking this young. It's kind of like a cleaned up, cooler temp, fruity napa with more focus, lift, and a mouthfeel that isn't jarring

  Al naso profumi di media consistenza, ma ottimo bouquet di frutti rossi e terziari accennati. Al palato strutturato e corposo, complesso, sapido. Eleganti e fini tannini, potenti ma assolutamente non stucchevoli, acidità ben dosata, caldo e secco, lunga persistenza.
