Nose is muted but there’s cherries. Good acid, big ripe red fruit, a little too much RS and a slight cheese note on the finish. Thankfully only a half bottle!

Unfiltered, vinous - sheer pleasure this NV Couche cuvée (84/16 PN/CH) - and certainly an elegant experience throughout bottle for #champagne2023, bottle #29. Beautiful deep pink, orange reflections in appearance. Nose brings a mixed basked of ripe red & yellow apples, raspberries, floral in style w a distinct blood orange touch. Palate - as said - superbly vinous, fine-tuned mousse, calibrated fruit & ample concentration, relaxed acidic structure, finishing on a bone-dry, bitter-touched & chalky note. Couche FTW!

84/16 Pinot/Chard. Disgorged Feb 2021. base year 2017. Very floral, fun nose, funky, fresh, deep citrus, lees notes. Palate matches with rich style, pretty structure, balanced and tasty. Nice for the price point, much better than last time I tasted.
