  • The nose shows elements of honeyed pear/apple and caramelized lemon peel, as well as an interesting undertone of dried cherry. The oak is slightly present but well integrated within the aromatics. The palate comes across as somewhat dilute initial, with tones of orchard fruit, honeydew melon, and cucumber. The mid-palate gains momentum with focused lemon/lime zest that continue onto a persistent finish of arising fresh mushrooms, woodiness, and a mild alcohol spike. The wine has average structure, but is salvaged somewhat by good mid-palate weight. This is a nice chardonnay, but suffers from slightly out of balance structure and flavor. R&M 85
