Classic cab sense on nose. Showing some age in brick red at edge of color. But no age in nose or taste - still in terrific form. Pure dark fruit, vanillas have burned off, will age gracefully next 3-5 years. I only wish there was more than just a berry core and tobacco spice sense - it’s relatively minimalist.

Maybe a little muted compared to other bottles and vintages of good ol' Frederick. But still a joy to have around. Definite merlot dominance in the mix, earthy fruit. Still love the Spring Valley clan.

I've cellared this wine for nearly 2 years and very glad to have laid it down. This is a very good wine. Surprisingly good. Nice nose with great balance on the palate. It has a very smooth lingering finish.

(Spring Valley Vineyard Frederick Red Wine Walla Walla Valley) Locked up aromatically with leafy, high toned herbal notes and barrel spices. As it opens up, coffee and cherry come to the fore. The palate is full bodied with ripe, full flavors and grainy tannins. The alcohol shows but overall the wine carries it. 55% Cabernet Sauvignon, 31% Merlot, 7% Cabernet Franc, 5% Petit Verdot, and 2% Malbec. Aged 21 months in French oak (65% new). 15.0% alcohol. Sample provided by winery.
