This is just as good as the 2008 that appeared on Wine Spectator's Top 100 Wines of the year. The 2008 veered a little more towards red fruits and this veers towards black. Paul Hobbs does a wonderful job guiding these wines and they reflect the style of his California Pinot Noirs. This is a much better value and a better wine than the Pinot in his Crossbarn label.

Medium bodied, dark fruit followed by nice spice, not too complex but ver pleasing. Drink Now. Good buy

Nose of dark cherries. Tastes of ripe black cherries, raspberry and slight vanilla.

Good QPR, not overly fruity like other Pinot in this price range
