Community Tasting Notes (2) Avg Score: 76.1 points

  • Color is medium to dark ruby, about 90% opaque with very slow and clear legs. Nose shows burnt bacon, green pepper, cherry, currant, oak, and alcohol in light to medium intensity. Medium to full bodied, low acidity and light to average tannins that are smooth enough to salvage a "good" rating. Candied fruit, carmelized meat, and highly oaked palate that is saccharin sweet on the back end. It is what it is: wine for the masses. Or maybe wine for Sunday Mass ;) 4+7+9+5 = 75

  • Too much alcohol on the nose. Pleasant taste but the aroma is off putting and did not improve with decanting. Will now have 3 Liters to have to use up in cooking, etc.
