Earthy aroma with plenty of pepper and smoke. Wonderfully complex taste offering even more spice and smokiness, but not so much to overpower the red and dark fruit flavor. Great wine!

Hmmm...interesting. At first a touch hot, needed some air (double-decanted, but still needed 15 min). More floral on the nose than typical for BJ...and some white pepper too, which comes across on the palate. Well-made, solid wine. After 4 hrs, softens even further, nice sipper. Nice contemplative late-night quaff, raging bargain at GO

Very different from previous releases. Predominantly floral with spice, rather than earth/fruit driven. Think more Aussie Shiraz style, rather than their more usual Euro style (albeit with Cali fruit). Pepper on the nose and palate. In the interests of full disclosure, this would probably score higher with others, I particularly don't like the generic Aussie Shiraz flavor profile that we tend to get here in the states (though having been to Australia and wine tasted in the McLaren Vale, the wines there are far superior to those we tend to get here, and correspondingly I have no such issue with their local products).

What a bargain for a smooth flavorful drinking wine. My favorite wine at this price point.
