Seavey wines need aging to come into their own. Drinking well now with dark fruit, tobacco, spice, cassis with earthy undertones. Showing slight age on the outer rim.

Deep dark center, red rim with a hint of age. Blackcurrants, blackcurrant leaves, hint of caramel, sappy, alcohol. Smooth, complex, blackcurrants and ripe plums, oak well integrated, a little smokey, moderate tannins and acidity, fantastic finish. In a great place, good fruit and structure, drinking well now but will keep going for another 5 years.

Penultimate of 6 bottles, last consumed this wine about 2 yrs ago. Aging gracefully, this wine was brilliant on the first day, but slightly less interesting on the 2nd day...to be expected, I would say. Lovely black and blue fruits, cassis, pencil lead, and espresso grounds. Beautiful acidity and resolving tannins, the wine is complex and just right. Drink through 2024 or so.

Evolving very well. Excellent at 14 years old. Will go for a few more years no problem.

Less barnyard and liked more than I remembered from my prior note. It doesn't need a decant other than to get it off the sediment.
