Dark red. Wood spice and dark cherry nose. Light to medium bodied, blackberries, pepper, some heat, decent tannins, good acid, tobacco, and a short to medium finish. Good with dinner, but nothing special.

I tried the 92 Parker rated 2009 Merlot from this producer last year and called it 88. This wine isn't that good. It's there, but that's about the best I can say about it, it's there, it's wine. It is devoid of charm, structure, or intrigue. Highly drinkable, but ridiculously boring.

Agreeable, restrained, not especially interesting mid-weight red; drink now

Very pleasant, approachable; the restaurant we drank it at called it a cab franc blend (!!) Cherries dominate, mid length
