  Has improved remarkably over the past year or so. I decanted this for 3 hours and it darkened and deepened very nicely. There was nice dark fruit to balance out the acidity and tannins. Drank well by itself and with southern Italian food.

  Very acidic and unbalanced on day #1 - really undrinkable. But improved immensely overnight as the fruit showed up and the acidity receded to a "food friendly" level. Fruit is on the dark side for a Barolo.

  Medium garnet in color. Licorice, kirsch, olive and mineral on the nose. Warming and gripping on the palate with balanced acidity. Opens up and softens with aeration but still begs for time.
