This wine has continued to evolve since I last opened a bottle about 18 months ago. Gone is the lemon custard but replaced by Crenshaw melon, a hint of savory, licorice and fennel. Tip toes around flabby but never quite crosses the line. Round and warm. Silky long smooth finish.

Unlike yesterday's bottle from the same year and a somewhat similar background, the Siffrein is all lemon custard and minerals. Floral bouquet, rounded stones and lemony grapefruits lemony custard before a smooth long grapefruit rind finish. Big mouthfeel but not as much glycerin as yesterday's.

Quite nice, matured nicely. Lightly oxidative nose with light brown apple, melon, and peach. Medium body, low-medium acidity, good minerality. Taste had good white fruits, light oxidative flavors, some vanilla, light creme brulee, with some very light mint happening. Best bottle yet. I would drink within next 2-4 years.

This was the best bottle yet. Melon and citrus combine with prominent minerality and a little salinity on the nose. Not overly expressive, but fairly complex. The palette is an extension of the nose, but more expressive. Crisp texture with nice acidity. A very nice balance of weight and elegance. A little vanilla supports lemon zest on the sustained finish. 7-18-7-8

My notes echo others. Peach, green apple and lemon on nose. Fairly complex minerality. Really drinking well!
