A beautiful bouquet reveals restrained flavours of greengages and chalk dust drizzled with butter and seasoned with spice. As it develops there is a hint of caramel on the finish which is wonderfully lingering. Silky, balanced and delicious this ticks every box for a classic Côte d’Or white. Loved it! CHP 93 pts

A classy combination of crushed oyster shells, chalk and greengages enveloped with a coating of butter that a pleasing spicy kick. The oak use is very subtle and it is only on the persistent and elegant finish that a caramel note starts to reveal itself. This is textbook white Burgundy, an immaculate combination of freshness, weight and complexity. This bottle was drinking superbly and far superior to the last one I reviewed in June. CHP 93 pts

A typical but unmistakeable chalky greengage bouquet revealed an under-fruited savoury and minerally dry palate. Fully mature this opened out to hazelnut and walnut characters coated with butter and spice. Complex, subtle and nicely proportioned. 91 pts

Fat and rich but with great acidity. Quite mineraly and some vegetable notes. Anise and fennel in the back as expected. Going strong.
