Drunk at a family gathering. No TN, from memory. Evolved on the nose, sweet, with hints of raisins. Lovely palate, light-footed, not very sweet and very fresh. On day two the leftovers in the bottle (which stayed uncorked in the fridge) were even better. Beautiful finish on mandarines.

Dark yellow, ripe wheat-field color. Classical riesling nose with hints of petroleum and general gorgeousness. Palate is concentrated joy filled with honey and a balancing sting of acidity. Heaven!

60th Birthday at home with 15 guests and superb caterer (Kalm Kitchen) - wines from my cellar. Limited note taking. 2 half bottles PnP. Accompanied the selection of desserts and showed as exquisitely as in my previous notes. Sipped and enjoyed by all.
PS 27/4/14 Two weeks to the day later (yes two weeks!!) found in the back of my fridge a third of a (half) bottle with the cork put back in. To my amazement it was still in perfect knick and we gratefully consumed it at the end of Sunday dinner with, of all things, chocolate cheesecake!

A perfect accompaniment to a magnificent Pavlova produced by Aussie guest at end of a memorable New Year Eve dinner at old friends house. From half bottle. Pale translucent straw colour with a tight aromas of white stoned fruit and citrus peel. Clean as whistle without even a hint of age. Flavour reminiscent of delicate orange marmalade, racy and refreshingly sweet, not cloyingly so. Still a hint of fruit acid in the structure. Hard to assess future development/life expectancy as still so fresh and subtle (but in no way lightweight). Perhaps another 5+ years? Superb wine as one expects from a fine producer and the mighty Riesling - finest grape variety of them all!

As per my 2012 note.
A Peter Pan-like seemingly indestructible masterpiece of a wine. Incredible length.
