We can't get to those big numbers... we got a big CA Cab with nothing unusual or distinctive. Yes, quite good and fun to drink but $300? That's nuts. We have had 97-99 point wines over the years and this isn't in that rarefied league. I have to decry the heavy dark bottle in the strongest terms... it's eyewash to manipulate the consumer by suggesting quality. All it does is make it harder to decant, increases shipping costs, and fouls up my storage racks. Lafite doesn't do it, DRC doesn't do it, only CA does it. Please stop.
Decanted earlier, this wine is on the extreme side of dark and opaque. Nose reeks of morning bakery and fried bacon. First sip, hint of garrigue, iodine. Sip two, smokey peat fades into seaweed. And to think, I offered a couple extras to Tom and George, sorry guy's, this wine is a keeper. Sip three, kamasutra kemosabe, pleasant, intense.

wotn, a bold CS with plum and cherry notes wrapped around a core of coffee and tobacco notes...No need to wait further on this one.
