Pale lemon colour. Small and lively bubbles. Medium and developing nose with green apples, lemon, toast, brioche, butter and chalk. Medium taste of green apples.c lemon, toast and chalk. Long and dry finish. High acidity. Medium body. A very good Extra Brut Champagne. Drink now or over the next five years. Goes well as an aperitif.

Mini Grapemates Christmas Party 2021: Smoky notes, lemon and spices on the nose. Also in a sweeter style, though it does hold decent balance. Quite straightforward but gets the job done!

Light yellow straw colour, fine bead, light nose of a lemony citrus and apples. Light mousse. Light green apples, subtle lemon citrus, minerality, almost no creamy lees qualities but a little hiding way back in the mix. A fine subtle fresh and light champagne, a little different, great aperitif style.

Medium golden yellow with tiny bubbles. Notes of baked apples, minerality and straw. Medium acidity (6/10) with a medium minus body. Super dry on the palate with with baked apples, pears and minerality. Long finish. Drink till 2027.

Directly after opening quite decent, moderately intense bouquet, pears, fruity and some autolytics and a bit dusty.
Quite low acidity…
Seems a bit like a „feel good“ champagne nothing really stands out, neither something impressively tasty nor rough edges.
A tiny bitterness at the end…
With some time hints of gooseberry and smoke. The residual smell in the glass seems like Meursault.
No big development though. Drinks easy, dosage is well done.
