This bottle was was not as good as the one in March. Full body, dark fruits but quite dry and not as balanced and bold. Maybe some variations by bottle. It was fine with food, but a bit too much without it.

It was outstanding after a long decant (3 hours) and continued to get better throughout the evening. It needed time to curb the hotness of high alcohol content (15%). Worth the wait!

It has changed completely in a few years. It has blossomed out of a dumb stage with dark fruit flavors of black cherry, a bit of licorice and a very left bank Bordeaux like finish. Smooth and balanced with full body.

Luscious. After three more elegant whites and reds (a Kumeu River Chard, Max Ferd Richter Kabinett, and St-Damien Gigondas), this stood out for its hedonistic spice flavors. An easy crowd pleaser. Not sophisticated or profound, but rich, full of all-spice, and fruit forward. Serve this when you want a good wine that pleases regular drinkers without accompaniment.

I was quite surprised at how good this was; rich, balanced, extracted, quite showy, with personality.
