Aged in 50% new French Oak and 50% seasoned french oak hogsheads for 18 months. Dry, medium acidic, medium high tannins and very full bodied.
Initially closed (at 6 years of age), opens up after an hour of decanting. Strong on the nose, on the palate lots of blackberry, plum bit of pepper and nicely integrated oaky notes combined with a fantastic finish. The wine definitely has a decent potential to age well. Would open it at around 10years+

My kind of shiraz. Deep inky solid crimson to purplish core and dull rims with plenty of heavy legs. Nose; initial pour was subdued, but after decanting for more than 4 hours, fragrance explosion of plum, dark cherry and plenty of dark cocoa. I get wafts of vanillin cedar & dark chocolate as well. Palate; fruit forward, flavor bomb with dark spices towards the end. Mouthfeel; dense, powerful with chewy and well integrated tannins. This is still a young wine and plenty of potential to age

Black cherries, blackberries, blueberries, black currants, smoked meat, shockingly NO eucalyptus or mint notes (their GSM has them). Tobacco, vanilla and smoke from the oak. Medium + body, medium tannin. Developing.

A really good Barossa Shiraz.
Great dark fruit, lovely texture and no brassy notes on the palette.
