This was a pleasure with the encounter similar to to one in 2020. It is aging gracefully with a core of fruit and mineral notes that held from the start to finish. Tannins have rounded out nicely. Flavors included limestone, strawberry, blackberry, currents, and leather. The cork at 46 still had one inch with no discoloration it certainly played its role in keeping this aging so well.

Easily outperformed expectations, with tremendous depth of flavor and impressive length. The wine's tertiary notes of saddle leather, spice and menthol married beautifully with the creamy texture.

Starting to dry out and drop its fruit, the wine provides a look into the past with green, peppery, herbal slant to its fruit and its bright, crisp, strict finish. Drink from 2023-2025.

A touch of the St Julien nut husk kickoff, it does it sit next to LLC after all. God this is refined. Graphite and pure red fruit. Lengthy finish, hint of white pepper. @ Napa Boys Trip

The cork basically fell through the neck when touched by a corkscrew, so I was happily surprised that the wine was in decent shape and with no real signs of oxidation. That said, I think it’s past prime and for me was more interesting than great. There is a strong green pepper note that I’m not fond of, along with some very nice cigar box and old leather.
