Very drinkable, and a perfect foil to a garlic herb steak. Juicy acidity, full bodied, screams Syrah with a profile of black and blue fruits and pepper. This is fruit forward without being jammy.

Hmm, a bit angular, reduced, and with a whiff of volatility. The famous Dard inconsistency rears its head, compared to other notes here. Even over two days didn't show much fruit or development. Hard to judge further as it should be a good, balanced vintage.

Dark fruit, black olives, smoke, liquorice, blood, herbs, violets. The essence of Syrah, you might say. Pure and juicy. Only needs a minute or two in the glass to come out, very generous and parfumed. Good acidity, fine tannins. Definitely would have liked some protein but works well on its own as well. The same notes on the palate. Long aftertaste. Equally good day 2.

After a great barrel tasting of the 2021 s with a stunning hermitage, the 2 bottles of 2020 are showing greatly.
Deeper than the St Joseph, from le " cru" les Baties, exposed south west on the same side as Hermitage, but further north, with the local exception of calcareous loess in the granit driven area.
It is a deep, and complex wine, with aromas of violet, and sooth, in between the hermitage and St Joseph style, with more fruit driven style than the St Jospeh.
Super textured wine, balanced and elegant, the whole cluster shows in those super warm vintages the interest of it... drinkable already
Lovely
