  We enjoyed our visit to their wine estate so much we bought a sampling of their wines. The Matrona does not disappoint! Regusci is famous for their production grapes to high end wine makers. Of course they keep the top grade for their estate wines like Matrona. This is a wonderful wine and I noticed the anonymous 100 pt rating, while I cannot go that stellar, it's a bona-fide player. Boysenberry and blueberry on the palate with some chalky tannins. Nice finish with a mid acidity that taste so mellow. I would compare it to a highly refined The Prisoner with greater complexity. Visit their winery if you're in Napa, beautiful location and grounds, pick up a bag of Meyer lemons, donations for lemons accepted 😉...or is that "expected"?
