Nicely mature aromas combine red cherry, black cherry, cooked mushrooms and earthy elements. Fruit also on palate but less prominent than earthy flavors. Good structure and acidity support the overall flavors, providing length and power toward finish. After 2 hours this got tighter and more acidic.

Still young. Substantial, complex, earthy nose, dried dark fruit, wet leaves. Well-structured and -balanced;medium-bodied with precise and deep flavors of dark fruit, herbal tea, light coffee; a little dusty, silky texture. Drinking very well, but with further development ahead. Would have gone well with lamb chop or beef steak.

8 Red Burgundy Tasted 1989 to 1998 (Walnut Creek, Ca.): Nice beet red color in the glass, nice, pleasant, concentrated fruit, needs 5 years, lots of soft tannins. My #2 of 8.
