Popped and poured. Needs about 30 minutes in the glass. Nose of dark berries and tobacco. Nice integrated tannins and still drinkable day two. Good qpr

This wine has come a long way since my last bottle in 2013. It is earthy with a good dose of underlying fruit. The color is deep ruby with a tinge of brick color at the rim. The nose shows ink, mushroom, cherry, and mineral notes. The palate starts with ink, forest floor, chocolate, black pepper and spices, followed by plum, cherry, licorice, and vanilla. The slightly bitter/sweet tannins is very pleasant and the low acidity does not distract. It is drinkable now but it could stay in the cellar for a few more years. Excellent QPR.
