Deep lemon core. Peach on the nose, with an herbal note. Fairly full-bodied, with balanced acidity. The palate mirrors the nose. Roussane can be difficult to read. This is rich and tightly-packed, yet still relatively muted, even after the better part of a decade. More time might bring this around. It's definitely very well made, with loads of amazing raw materials and not a trace of oxidation. It's just not saying an awful lot right now.

I'm a great fan of Roussanne but not for the first time Bergeron from Savoie has left me pretty disappointed. This is rustic and not particularly clean - indeed offputtingly so. Poor storage perhaps?

Yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of nutmeg, yellow pear, yellow apples and wet stones. Flavors of lemon, yellow pears and minerals. Medium to bright acidity, medium body. Drink or hold.

Tasted non blind. Opened and served immediately. Followed over about two hours.
Light yellow color in the glass, clear looking throughout. Nose of lemon wax, honeysuckle and yellow pear. Flavors of lemon, yellow apple and a dash of honeycomb. Medium to bright acidity, medium to full bodied. Drink over the medium tannin.

Gras et ample, des pêches et des épices avec
un fond mielleux. La finale est bien longue sur
le gingembre. Bien.
