This was quite open from the pop and pour - lots of fruit on the nose and palate but built more body with more air. Relative to the other William Selyem whites, the oak is much less prevalent and you really don't notice any harsh secondary flavors as a result. A great bottle with shellfish/seafood and also quite nice chilled lower than what you might normally have. This was a tasting room only wine (and something they poured a few years back in the tasting room).

Very dull on the palate, lacks any acid. Pear, muted stone fruits but seemed to get better with more time in the glass. On the fence about this offering.

We visited Williams Selyem several years ago and saw how they made this Chenin Blanc. It’s a very pure expression of the grape without significant added secondary flavors. Light straw color. Very crisp and fresh. Light alcohol. Light to medium acid. Medium fruit. Shorter finish. A great summer wine by itself, or with light fare like with salads or sushi.
