Burgundy to brown. First nose of dark jammy fruit, strawberry, and a little charred wood. Second nose opens up and adds baking spice and rose pedals. Very thin on the palate and light. Strawberry in flavor and a finish of slight tannin.

It’s 92 degrees. Sitting by the pool and found this bottle in the small wine refrigerator. Can’t recall when or where we bought it. Aerated and poured into wine glasses. Surprised at the fullness and fruitiness with a smooth finish. Will be searching the wine cellar for more bottles. Highly recommend.

Baldacci's 2014 Elizabeth is a deep red/garnet Pinot that is packed with black cherry fruit, mulling spices, cocoa and lavender. Medium-bodied and relatively low in acidity, it is a voluptuous wine with silky tannins, nicely integrated oak and equally well-integrated alcohol (listed as 14.5%). Solid in the middle and lengthy on the back end, this would warrant an even higher score if it had just a bit more acid. Drink now-2024.
