At 12 years this is really starting to come into its own. On opening it's still quite tannic and I was a bit worried that the alcohol wasn't well integrated, but an hour in the decanter smoothed the rough edges and brought out the tobacco and stone fruit. Paired amazingly with filet mignon with blue cheese sauce. I'll try to wait another few years before opening the next one, I would love to see what this is like at 20.

Still a baby, held up quite well against a St Julien and St Emilion of similar age, paired with ribeye. I feel it needs a few more years to really come together, a bit rough around the edges but the fruit is outstanding and nice long finish. Much more sophisticated than most expect from a California Bordeaux blend

Quite tight on opening, after two hours in the decanter started to open nicely. Nose of leather and dark fruit, main taste of stone fruit, looooong finish with a hint of sour cherry. Drinking well now, I imagine this will continue to evolve in the bottle

A big bold blend, aging nicely. Spirited flavors from DCV, still present a nice dark red fruit taste.
