(Tre Nova Secopassa Red Wine Columbia Valley) Lots of fresh red fruit on the nose, including raspberries, along with licorice, herbal notes, dried orange peel, and other dried fruit. The palate is tart with a large dose of fruit and balsamic notes on the finish. Remarkably well integrated given the alcohol level. 50% Sangiovese, 50% Barbera. Ciel du Cheval Vineyard. 16.8% alcohol. 143 cases produced. Sample provided by winery.

A littke past with brick coloring on the edges of the glass but still wonderful with dark fruit and a hint of port.

Nice complexity with a little black cherry and dry pepper. Good body with a fairly well rounded finish. Once it opens up a bit it does much better. Decant at least 30-45 min. I'll look forward to trying again in a few months.

Thanksgiving Wine Tasting (Carlton, OR): Not sure on the varietal(s) used in this wine, but this is a Amarone-style wine with big flavors of black fruit and sweet figs. Needs more time, but showing some nice potential!
