natural cork, no leakage. Deep deep ruby red color, quite shy at first and actually seeming too alcoholic in the nose and mouth, with discreet cedar notes. Let it breathe in the decanter for 1h: notes of baked plum, licorice, incense and cedar. 100% malbec, with a medium, velvety body, low acidity (I expected more) and smooth tannins. Drink up.

Megamoon Part V: Mendoza (Argentina); 11/1/2015-11/3/2015 (Park Hyatt Mendoza, Lujan de Cayo, Uco Valley): This was part of a broader line-up for the Dominio del Plata wines and there was clearly a step change when we got to the Nosotros. This wine was probably Mike's favorite of the tasting and one of my favorites as well. Nose is gentle and floral. Mouth is herbal, bits of lavender, more floral, a touch of acidity as well. Great tannins at the end that pull the wine together. Very good.
