Round, generous and ripe red fruit, a bit jammy. Some tannin but not overly present. Some floral and licorice notes. Medium length. I'dbe interested to see this in another 2 years. 91+

👀 Dense red color 👃 Strawberry, boysenberry, leather, pepper, CdP is supposed to have herbal noted and i guess you can find the slightest whiff of dill when really looking for it. 👄 Light body, gripping tannins tannins with a meathery feel. Velvety rolls over the tongue, sweet, slight sweetness. Well integrated acidity/sweeteness/body integrated with finesse. Ready to drink if you fancy at least a little tannins going on 👍

In a blind tasting of 8 CDP 2016 wines, this was my second favorite. Deep cherry color with notes of dark berried spices and ham in a mostly reserved nose. Concentrated and silky in the mouth, it’s obvious that there is more to come from this gem. Give it a year and enjoy over the following decade. A great purchase considering it’s $55 CAD price tag.
